A chair lift raises the sitter to a near-standing position with the push of a button. These chairs range in price depending on the model you select. There are even wheelchairs that can convert to standing position. And, you'll also discover beds that help lift one into an upright position. A handicapped lift is one of the most useful types of equipment for the disabled.
Handicap lifts are not cheap, but they are worth every penny for those who need them. Also, many types of insurance or government assistance for the disabled may help foot the bill for equipment like handicapped lifts. In addition they may also cover wheelchairs, safety bars, hospital style beds and other items necessary for the day to day life of a disabled person. These items can be found at most any medical supply store. Of course not every disabled individual needs to use a lift, but for those that do these lifts are very helpful.
